A brief background dump Cognition is a society interested in all things cognition: the mental processes, biological structures and theories underlying the acquisition of knowledge and the understanding of the world through thoughts, senses, and experiences. Closely related to cognition is the field of Cognitive Science, which is an interdisciplinary, scientific study of the mind that encompasses a wide range of disciplines - Neuroscience, Psychology, Philosophy, Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, Linguistics, and Anthropology - and aims to link neurological data from the brain to behavioral data of mental and action processes. We are a society by and for students interested in cognition, cognitive science and all neighboring fields! As Cognition, we aim to organize a variety of events from film screenings and field trips to workshops, lectures, and discussions within a flexible range of topics open to all who are interested! We are always open to new ideas, so feel free to reach out to us if you have any. Our number one priority is making everyone feel welcomed and inspired in attending, participating and sharing their thoughts at our events, so come as you are, and we look forward to meeting you at our next event!
